  4. Midnight Commander seems to work fine in Putty but does not look nearly as good nor does it allow you to click on the folders to open them as Putty does.

Let me know if it is just a configuration issue on my end.

    Thx

  6. How about when you get disconnected to have an option, that program tries to autoconnect back and cwd to folder you were in.

This happens alot on windows, wifi fails, or computer goes to sleep, and you have 10 windows opened, and then you have to manually open everything again.

Penguinet supports UTF-8 within a terminal session, and if its required, a font of your choice.

We don’t actually have a server here configured for hebrew, so why not install the Penguinet trial, try it on an appropriate server, and report back here? :-)

  8. Hello,

Since upgrading from 2.54 to 2.61 and 2.62 I have been unable to connect using port forwarding from a jump host. I have had to use putty for either the connection to the jump then use penguinet for the terminal to the remote server, or reverse penguinet for the connection to jump then putty for terminal to remote server. Or I use putty for both.

I have rolled back to 2.54 and everything is working fine again.

I cannot find anyway to get to the connection, logs if there are any,to see what part of the connection is failing…

  10. HI,
I tried console to the network devices. It seems PenguiNet skip every 'Questions' automatically.
Is there way to work around this?

    Settings are -
    Terminal : xterm
    Local Echo: off
    Flow Control: No Flow control

  11. I have a Telnet window open for an HP 2610-24-PwR switch and I can't change the windows height to be more than 24 lines. Any ideas where I should look in the config. options or what I should do differently?
    Thanks for a great program.

Pleased try Profile, options, advanced, force size. Unfortunately hosts using Telnet may not negotiate window size. Let us know if this option works. If the host supports ssh then connect using ssh.

  12. I'm using dual monitors and the "overwrite file?" scp dialogue is going off screen if the scp window is on my second monitor.

Sure, I can press "enter" but it's a bit annoying :-) Could you fix the window placement code a bit?

  14. Sometimes it happens that, by clicking with right mouse button on a terminal window, typically to do some copy&paste action, the Disconnect menu option is unadvertently clicked and the window flies away... with the whole session done til that moment. It would be nice to have a disconnect confirmation dialog, avoiding this annoyance (just try to happen during a vi session...). Or even a different right-click menu items positioning, setting the Disconnect at the top, thus making the issue very hard to happen.

  15. Please could we have the option to add a "side bar" showing the connection profiles down the right side of the main window. A bit like showing the bookmarks in Firefox. This wil show which profiles are connected and allow you to fire up a new one. Similar to MS's Remote Desktop Connection Manager, but for SSH obviously.

  16. I got a server application that prints log output in different colors depending on the type (error -> red, warning -> yellow, info -> white, debug -> grey, trace -> dark grey).

However PenguiNet displays the dark grey trace-messages transparent (same color as background). Changing the color scheme or selecting the text doesn't make it visible, but copying the text works fine.
    Putty displays the text correctly.

  17. When the connection is lost and I click the reconnect button, the window position is reset, and window is place in some default position. If I have some terminal window setup, I always have to correct it after rebooting the device.

  19. One of the things we do right now is execute the same commands on many servers simultaneously. For instance to update all proprietary software or to verify configuration. It would be nice to be able to send any arbitrary command to all open windows ( anything from a simple ls, to the execution of a script file) so that I type 'ls -al' once, but see the output of that on all 16 open windows.

  20. Would really like windows to have the option of being transparent, much like the ubuntu terminals, especially when they are detached.
