  1. path automatically entered as command

When open sessionwith PenguiNet, the path is automatically entered as a command (whenever hit enter); this does not occur with standalone putty session. Is there a PenguiNet option to prevent this? WIthout a way to turn this off, PenguiNet is too annoying to use.

  2. Windows: on text Zoom, do not resize the session windows

on Windows, the session window gets resized when I change the text zoom.
This is not an expected behavior, It shouldn't be resized.

  3. Not connecting to some devices since I reloaded PenguiNet

I am having problems connecting to devices I had no problem connecting to before I had to reload a newer version of PenguiNet. I am able to connect to these devices when I use Putty but not this version of PenguiNet. These are wireless access points that are connected to a wireless controller. Before I was able to connect to the controller as well as the APs. Now when I try to connect I get an error 261 occurred. Any idea why this is happening? I need to connect to these devices.

You’re probably using SSH2 and need to select one of your SSH2 keys from the combo just below the one open in your screenshot. If you see no keys there either, try adding the key via Tools|Manage keypairs.

  7. Two Factor Authentication

Two factor authentication, is it possible with Penguinet. I am using google authenticator on my server and it works fine with Putty. I have mine set to as for
    1) username
    2) password
    3) 2FA code

  8. Better find in scroll buffer

The find text function would be much more helpful if it highlighted all instances of the text found and centered the current location in the screen. Regular expressions would be of great help also.

  9. Ditch the "Authentication agent not forwarded" warning

I like to leave authentication agent forwarding switched on as most of my servers support it. However, some don't and the "authentication agent not supported" pop up box appears. I'm not sure this *modal* warning box is that helpful.

  10. In the send commands, I have a sudo then a cd. Works. If I change the dir to cd to, it stops working

In the send commands, I have sudo then a cd commands. Works. If I change the dir to cd into, it stops working. I've tried everything, including just cd /home. I've encountered this numerous times and figured I'd mention it. I don't know if it's the pause in the sudo authentication or what....

  12. "Safe" pasting

In order to prevent wrong text pasting could you set up a configurable warning if the text to paste is greater than xx characters?

  13. columns

I have long used Absolute Telnet, but the cost of your license has risen much, Pinguinet is extremely friendly, simple but powerful, the price per license is very reasonable, at this time I am in the test DEMO and soon buy my license , I love PinguiNet but I have only one question how do I keep the Width settings Terminal? because when I open a session again I always leave it in "Use Window's Width" I hope the manual configuration can be saved. Thank you

  14. cisco nexus ssh doesn't work

Using penguinet to ssh to a nexus 3048 running version 6.0.2.

penguinet succesfully connects to the switch, up to the point of actually showing me the CLI, then reports "the host does not appear to be running an SSH service on the requested port" and force-closes the session again.
Changing the switch or its config is impossible (its in a corporate data centre)

ssh to the same switch works fine with Putty

seems like some bug in penguinet intereacting with the particular behaviour of ssh on this switch hardware/firmware ? using version 2.70 of penguinet.

  15. Hi, my connection profiles all crashed.I have a license.

I would send you a pic, but here I can not. Instead of my pofiles I see some chineese letter. I even think I attacked by virus. Very strange.
It is computer at work, so I had no reason to think about virus here. It looks like hacked from outside. I even suspect somebody used it from remote.

  16. Midnight Commander

Midnight Commander seems to work fine in Putty but does not look nearly as good nor does it allow you to click on the folders to open them as Putty does.

Let me know if it is just a configuration issue on my end.

    Thx

  17. play sound on newline

Would be nice to be able to set penguinet to play a sound when a new line is entered on the terminal. Good for a timely reminder when a long-running job is completed.

  18. drag multiple connections

i am doing an initial setup of penguinet, and have 200+ connections to put in a folder. i spoofed the xml to load the connections, but am finding that i have to select & drag each one separately to the folder rather than being able to select & drag the whole bunch at once. it would be great to be able to perform functions (drag, open, scp, edit shared parameters) on all selected connections at the same time.

  20. dark grey is invisible

I got a server application that prints log output in different colors depending on the type (error -> red, warning -> yellow, info -> white, debug -> grey, trace -> dark grey).

However PenguiNet displays the dark grey trace-messages transparent (same color as background). Changing the color scheme or selecting the text doesn't make it visible, but copying the text works fine.
    Putty displays the text correctly.
