  1. dark grey is invisible

I got a server application that prints log output in different colors depending on the type (error -> red, warning -> yellow, info -> white, debug -> grey, trace -> dark grey).

However PenguiNet displays the dark grey trace-messages transparent (same color as background). Changing the color scheme or selecting the text doesn't make it visible, but copying the text works fine.
    Putty displays the text correctly.

  2. Forwarding from jump host not working

    Hello,

Since upgrading from 2.54 to 2.61 and 2.62 I have been unable to connect using port forwarding from a jump host. I have had to use putty for either the connection to the jump then use penguinet for the terminal to the remote server, or reverse penguinet for the connection to jump then putty for terminal to remote server. Or I use putty for both.

I have rolled back to 2.54 and everything is working fine again.

I cannot find anyway to get to the connection, logs if there are any,to see what part of the connection is failing…

I am trying to setup a connection using SSH with Pub Key auth. My newly created key is not showing in the drop down for SSH2. Any ideas?

    Thanks

  5. inherit password

Allow inheritance. I group my ssh sessions together and would like to have an easy way to change passwords among all sessions when my password changes. If I could change the password at the top of the tree, it would flow down to the sessions under it.

  6. Permanently set font size..

I have a high resolution screen. When I set "Hacker" font to size 14 on the main bar it adjusts the font to an acceptable size. Then I close it and have to reset the font size every time I open the program. How do I set this permanently?

    Thanks,
    Shawn

  7. Using PenguiNet with tunnel config as SOCKS proxy

I'm using putty to open a tunnel via SSH to a host and then configuring Firefox using this as a SOCKS proxy.
Can I apply the putty config to PenguiNet? I was unable to do this.

I'm using this config in putty http://d.pr/i/inms and then connect in Firefox using SOCKS on 127.0.0.1:9999

  8. Support for empty ssh key passphrases

I use empty an pass-phrase for my ssh key on my home network (for convenience, didn't see the need for the extra level of security here).
Would be nice if you could add support for that.

On putty, you can paste your selection using right click. Can this be added somehow?

  10. question on keyboard shortcuts

Please tell me how to invoke keyboard shortcuts such as Ctrl+right arrow to move to next word. Works in my existing sessions, but how do I get it to work with a new session?

  12. Select Tabs, Then sort.

I would love to be able to select tabs and then choose a window sort.

For instance. I usually have 10+ tabs open, but would love an easy way to side - by - side compare two or three of them. So, if I could select the ones I wish to see, then click "Tile Vertically" and easily have them side by side... That would be awesome.

I like the idea of this – reminds me of the Windows 7 advert here in the UK or IE’s “Quick Tabs”.

We have a number of user interface changes being debated. For example, a quick way to zoom in and out of terminal sessions would benefit you here I think.

    Any other feedback out there?

  13. Alternative payment type without paypal

In Turkey, paypal not usable and also some countries, because tax problems. Please also use dollar currency for global payments.

Would be nice to retouch the ui of penguinet for UHD screen resolution compatibility. Its completely useless with UHD.

  17. Alpha on main window and shells, auto-hidden for toolbars.

You use a lot of window resize to copy paste from other applications don't you? See further !!!

  18. File Upload Telnet Icons

When I am connected to a server I normally have a file upload window open and a telnet window open as well.

In the bar at the bottom of the screen it used to have a different icon for file uploads compared to the telnet window so it was easy to work out which was which.

A very minor thing I know but now have to flick through lots of windows when I have multiple connections open, please bring it back....

p.s - Apart from that it still is a fantastic program :)

Thanks for the feedback – much appreciated.

We are considering using “overlay” icons to allow you to differentiate what kind of session it is.

Is that what you had in mind?

  19. Subshell screen saving

When using midnight commander’s ctrl-o feature to toggle shell/mc the screen content is gone.
It would be really great if the screen content would be preserved like in putty.

  20. Protect against unwanted disconnect

Sometimes it happens that, by clicking with right mouse button on a terminal window, typically to do some copy&paste action, the Disconnect menu option is unadvertently clicked and the window flies away... with the whole session done til that moment. It would be nice to have a disconnect confirmation dialog, avoiding this annoyance (just try to happen during a vi session...). Or even a different right-click menu items positioning, setting the Disconnect at the top, thus making the issue very hard to happen.
